Daniel has decades of experience in property management in both New Zealand and Australia. He has held senior leadership positions with GE Capital, Jones Lang LaSalle, Spotless Group, Education Queensland and Australia’s Department of Public Works.
Daniel is constantly on the lookout for ways to introduce strategic and procedural process changes that continue to improve the delivery of Foundation One’s services.
Ian leads Foundation One’s business growth in the commercial maintenance market. During his career he has gathered a wealth of industry knowledge and successfully managed large teams of various trades in the air conditioning and electrical service maintenance fields.
He leads and directs the logistics of our in-house team of technicians and subcontractors and suppliers, he is passionate about Foundation One’s service offering and he is dedicated to creating solid, profitable long-term business relationships.

Cherie is an invaluable member of the Foundation One team, ensuring the smooth-running of the business, balancing the books, operating as primary point of contact for clients and liaising with suppliers.
Having spent years in senior finance roles for high profile companies such as Ask Metro, Fletchers and PlaceMakers, Cherie knows the industry inside out. She’s an excellent communicator with great organisational skills and her extensive commercial knowledge is a huge asset to our customers, and our company.
Before joining Foundation One, Sean created a successful residential and commercial landscaping business servicing clients in Europe, New Zealand and Australia – a company that is still operating strongly.
That has stood him in good stead for his role with us, where he provides relationship management and support to Foundation One clients and also seeks new business opportunities.
Sean also ensures projects deliver as promised, that clients are fully informed throughout, and that they are satisfied with the end result.
Sean holds a Diploma in Sustainable Land Management with Distinction. Outside work, he is a keen golfer and squash player. He is also currently renovating the family home on a Waitakere lifestyle block.
Roger oversees all Foundation One projects, which means he liaises with not only clients, but also our teams, ensuring everyone has what they need.
His career may be unique in this industry: Roger has a trade certificate in plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying and has also worked as a Radio Hauraki DJ and head of a large UK marketing firm. In 2004 he returned to New Zealand and launched a successful manufacturing company producing furniture.
That adds up to someone with a deep understanding of what it’s like to work on the tools as well as be responsible for business success. As a result, Roger has a strong reputation for anticipating potential issues as well as spotting opportunities to save clients time or money. It’s not unusual for him to spot gaps in architectural plans that could cause cost overruns if not addressed early.
When not overseeing projects, Roger stays in touch with clients who aren’t active right now, keeping up with what they might need in future and ensuring Foundation One maintains warm relationships with everyone we’ve done business with.
A self-titled “active relaxer”, Roger’s main passion outside work is hopping into his boat and heading out for a weekend of sailing and fishing.
Joe’s role includes providing electrical and Air Conditioning technical support, answering technical questions and solving problems for key accounts people, other Foundation One staff and customers.
Joe worked for fifteen years with nationwide company Clarksons. Starting as a service electrician he moved on to large-scale project management and staff management.

Scott coordinates the more complex Building Department's Do and Charge works, as well as small to medium projects and Planned Maintenance Works. His role include liaising with staff, clients, subcontractors and tradesmen so works are well organised and run to plan. Scott is very much service orientated, his customer service skills are well honed, and his attention to detail second to none. With a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University (a double major in Property Valuation & Management and Finance), Scott’s already making great use of his experience and qualifications to help Foundation One’s customers enjoy real peace of mind.
Richard joined us late 2016. His wide experience includes project management, and he’s worked on large projects overseeing sub-contractors – and working closely with design engineers, quantity surveyors, architects and clients. Planning is another strength. Richard’s worked in remote locations where planning and logistics had to be meticulous.

Ben’s an experienced builder with nearly 25 years in the industry. Much of his career has focussed on building high end houses of over 1000 sq m or renovating historic buildings such as New Zealand’s first river public house, the Riverhead Pub and Boathouse.
Ben joined Foundation One in 2017. We’d already engaged him as a contractor and were so impressed with his work and how he inspired the team around him that we couldn’t wait to bring him on permanently.
Ben runs jobs on site, ensuring teams operate smoothly, standards are maintained, and logistical issues are taken care of. He is a great problem solver and communicates well with everyone, including clients. In his spare time he coaches his son’s rugby league team and enjoys fishing whenever he gets the chance.
Andrea’s the glue that holds the Electrical and Air Conditioning team together. She fields all emails and calls from clients regarding pending, active or completed jobs, and provides answers and information needed to keep everyone in the loop. She raises jobs as they get created, schedules the work crews, helps Joe raise quotes, enters invoices, and prepares timesheets ready for Cherie to pay the team. When she’s not busy keeping things humming, she’s attending to critical administration tasks that keep the office organised.
Andrea’s always worked in trade industries, so is right at home at Foundation One. Previous employers included Fletcher Building and a major infrastructure company, so she’s unfazed by large projects.
Andrea joined Foundation One in May 2017 after many years in Wellington. We’re doing our best to turn her into a Blues fan, but she has this thing about wanting to support a winning team!
Maryanne keeps the Building Division humming by taking care of the behind-the-scenes work. Her role includes managing client emails and calls relating to projects, raising jobs as they get created, scheduling work crews, helping to raise quotes, entering invoices, and preparing timesheets.
Her background includes roles with Mitre 10, culminating in a 2IC position within a branch, office admin in the steel industry, and as a Customer Service Officer for ASB Bank.
A fast learner who’s also easy to get on with, Maryanne is also a bit of a sports nut. She plays touch rugby two nights a week in summer and manages a top netball side on Auckland’s North Shore in winter as well as her daughter’s junior team. Mother to two girls, she also loves holidays and socialising – though we don’t know where she finds the time for either.
