Safety first, second and third.
Passive Fire Protection, also known as PFP, is an essential safety element in every commercial building, not to mention critical to the protection of the building itself.
It is one of three integral components of fire protection and fire safety, and focuses on containing fires or slowing their spread. At the heart of PFP are fire-resistant walls, floors and doors that comply with the most current building codes. One of the technical challenges of this work is ensuring fire cannot easily spread through gaps where piping and cabling passes through a floor or wall.
Foundation One specialises in this area; that is, slowing the spread of fire throughout a building, if not containing the fire until it can be safely extinguished. We take care of everything, including the register, marked plans and PS3, and also provide technical advice. One benefit for building managers is having a single point of contact for all this work.
As with all our services, we don't just point out what needs immediate attention - we also flag those things likely to require attention in the medium term, and keep you up to date with current building and safety regulations. Result: you can rest easy, knowing the building is operating safely now, and that you can also confidently plan and budget for future maintenance work.
We also provide comprehensive documentation for compliance and insurance purposes.
